Borax Crystals Experiment

Matter is all around us. On a daily basis we are surrounded by different states of matter such as solid, liquids, and gasses. Matter is always moving and changing into different forms which is called physical changes. Physical changes also have two types: there reversible and irreversible changes. As you can tell by the names, reversible physical changes can revert back to the original version even after a change has been made. For example in the lesson the borax crystals undergo crystallization which is reversible as the crystals can be reboiled and can return to its state as a liquid. Irreversible changes are the opposite. One a product is formed it is near impossible to change it back to the original version. Reversible changes can be show and taught by the experiment borax crystals which is illustrated in the PowerPoint presentation.
